Top Things To Do in Lake Tahoe!

South Lake Tahoe is the best place for anyone and everyone!
You can easily ski and snowboard in Tahoe, BUT there is so many other things to do, which makes it perfect for everyone.

It is perfect for a fun family trip, couples getaway, and in our case,

a girls getaway!

My friend, Deanna (@deannadunn), and I wanted to escape from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and we ventured north to Lake Tahoe. It was so fun and refreshing to be up in the mountains.

Below are our top South Lake Tahoe recommendations. Enjoy!

Friday’s Station

Here you will get views of the mountains, lake, AND city.
 
Friday’s Station is located on the “main” road where all the shops and casinos are. So if you are already in the area, this may be a good choice for you. 

Friday’s Station is located inside Harrah’s casino on the 18th floor.  You can also make reservations online on opentable.com.

Ladies and gentlemen, you can drink delicious local coffee AND rock climb at Refuge Coffee! How cool is that?!

I loved Clyde’s Coffee so much that I bought a bag of their coffee to bring home! We loved their cozy and local decor!

I highly recommend their apple strudel (if you order for here, they will warm it up for you and add whip cream!)

Elements Day Spa

This was hands down our favorite thing to do on our trip! 

We did their Total Pamper Package, which included:

60 minute body wrap
90 minute Swedish massage
60 minute facial
30 minute foot rejuvenation.
…and a delicious lunch!

We absolutely loved Elements Day Spa.
The only sad thing is that we don’t live close to it! 

Each room had a beautiful view of South Lake Tahoe!

I also loved how each room was named after a natural element, such as fire, water, and more. Thank you Elements Day Spa for taking care of us! 

It was by far the best spa treatment we have both ever received!

After you have had your fun-filled day in Tahoe, you know the best thing to do is to relax and enjoy your hotel room. 

Choosing my accommodation is always the most important thing for me.

I always want to make sure that I can feel relaxed and rejuvenated after a good night’s rest!

I loved waking up and seeing beautiful Lake Tahoe and the mountains outside our window.

Hotel Azure has the prime location of being close to the city, lakefront property, and near the Heavenly Mountain Resort.

The day after we arrived, we were hit with a huge snowstorm, which limited our outdoor activities.

LUCKILY,
Hotel Azure offers so many options at the hotel for us to still enjoy our time in Tahoe. 

We got to workout with a lakefront view and used their game room!

Hotel Azure also offers snowshoes and their staff is so helpful, they can recommend different nearby trails to go to. 

There are also two great places that are walking distance to Hotel Azure. 

We really enjoyed eating at Bear Beach Cafe! There was something for everyone on the menu. We especially loved drinking hot cocoa and staring at their beautiful lakefront view. 

Tahoe Bowl is another great place to enjoy! Both places were literally only a 2 minute or less of a walk!

With us girls coming from Los Angeles…
where it never snows, we had to go out and take some snowstorm photos! 

Hotel Azure is the perfect backdrop for any photo, inside and outside the hotel.
