It is the beginning of June in sunny Southern California, and OH BOY, it is triple digits hot! SO HOT that we are advised to stay inside.
Being inside all day can be hard, no matter what season it may be. So, we are doing some DIY arts and crafts to not get too stir crazy.
Our favorite craft has been playing with
Shaving Cream Paint!
We love making Marble Paper with Shaving Cream Paint!!
Tenley loves this easy toddler DIY activity, especially because she gets to pick her own colors and create her own art on paper!
This DIY is great because you can make SO MANY different crafts using your marble paper. We have a stash of finished marble paper and use it often for various crafts.
In this post, I will show you how we made our DIY Marble Paper with Shaving Cream Paint and how we created THREE different DIY arts and crafts projects with the marble paper.

I bought everything from the Dollar Store (score!), except for the cardstock paper.
I am obsessed with this pack of cardstock paper, because I use it for everything from crafts, printables, invites, etc.
I have linked Amazon links below, in case you cannot find these items nearby 🙂

Add shaving cream to your aluminum pan.
Then it’s time for COLOR!
This is my daughter, Tenley’s favorite part, because she gets to CHOOSE her colors!
Add your colors to the pan, on top of the shaving cream.
There is no real method for this, so your kids can get creative in where and how they put the paint on the pan.

Take your chopstick or stick and make your marble design!
You can either take your stick and swirl around the paint and mix them together or go up and down the pan or ANYTHING!
(This is the beauty of this craft.)
There is no real method, but the fun creative method that your kid chooses! They are truly creating their own piece of art with this DIY.

Time to place your cardstock paper (I cut mine in half) and pat your paper down on the colored shaving cream.
Make sure you pat enough so it catches all your beautiful colors 🙂

I love this part! It just look so cool.
Carefully lift up your cardstock paper and put it on the side, outside of the pan.

Take your chopstick or stick to wipe off any excess shaving cream paint.
You can feel free to start from the bottom to top or vice versa.
Warning: this part can get messy, I suggest putting newspaper or scrap paper under.

How to Make
Take your finished marble art paper and cut an arch shape to resemble a popsicle and glue a popsicle stick on the back.
Yep, its that easy!
Tenley loves to use it in her play kitchen and pretend to feed all her dolls colorful yummy popsicles.
How to Make A
I adore any craft that requires using kids’, toddlers’, or babies’ hands. It makes a great keepsake and you can add the date in the back for memory’s sake.
For the example bel0w, I used my adult hand, because Tenley immediately wanted to play with her butterfly and didn’t want to take pictures of her creation. (toddlers…am I right? LOL)

Trace your hands on the marble art paper with a pen or marker. Then cut around it.

Add glue on the bottom of each hand, and place a popsicle stick in the middle of both hands (to resemble a butterfly).
