Do your kids come home from school with lots of artwork, but you have no idea where to put them? I have a solution for you! 🙋🏻‍♀️✏️ [#ad] @michaelsstores

💻 Open up Cricut Design Space and search for a classic outline of a pencil.

📏 I adjusted the size to be about 11 inches by 3 inches.

✏️ (Note: to get your Cricut to just cut the outline of the pencil, click on “attach” then “weld” then “cut.”)

✂️ I used my Cricut Explore 3 to cut this natural wood veneer. Remember, replace the blade for a sharper blade for materials like this.

🎨 Paint your wooden pencil to your liking and paint and add 2 clothespins to each pencil with a hot glue gun.

🙌 Once everything is dried, your cute pencil is ready to be placed on your wall.

This is a great way to showcase your kids’ artwork and you can switch it up whenever you like. Hope your kids have a fantastic school year!

Who said Halloween can’t be colorful?!

My kids LOVE Halloween, but they think that skulls and ghosts can be too spooky. So we added some color with @orientaltrading!

I built this DIY Arch Fireplace from FREE WOOD scraps from FB Marketplace and previous projects!! ♻️🙌

It was definitely a learning process. The “hardest” part was connecting and joining so many pieces of wood to get the right height, etc. but I would do it all over again in a heart beat!

The only things I needed to buy for this DIY Arch Fireplace were:

🌼 Joint Compound
🌼 White Paint (@sherwinwilliams alabaster)
🌼 Pre-stain Wood Conditioner
🌼 Wood Sealer

All of this was approximately $50!

Did you know you could stain your wood with coffee?!

For my DIY Fireplace Mantel, I used stale coffee beans to stain my wood.

Got any stale coffee beans?
Or coffee you didn’t like?

♻️ Don’t waste it!
Stain your wood projects with it!

TIPS:
☀️I recommend sanding and then adding a coat of pre-staining wood conditioner.
☀️I let my coffee sit for a couple of hours till cool.
☀️Wait 2 hours in between coats. The color does lighten.
☀️Once you get your desired color, seal it!

You can easily cut these with scissors and “install” them with strong glue like @thegorillagluecompany
