First and foremost,

Thank you for spending part of your day here.

I am truly honored and am so happy to have you here!

The moment we found out I was pregnant with our little Ten Ten, we knew it was the start of our greatest adventure yet! We were instantly overjoyed. However during my second trimester, I slowly realized that my journey through pregnancy was different than most. At 26 weeks, I was diagnosed with antepartum depression, also known as pregnancy depression. I was lost for words. I had no idea this was a “thing.” When you’re pregnant, many people will try to prepare you for the common symptoms of nausea, swelling feet, back pains, etc.

Pregnancy Depression was never part of that list.

Months prior to the diagnosis, I fabricated my feelings because everyone tells you that you get “super emotional” when you’re pregnant. So, I kept telling myself, “This is normal,” but deep down, I could not help but be upset at myself for not beaming like the other expectant moms that had

that beautiful pregnancy glow that I longed for.

After much prayer and support from loved ones, I was relieved to learn that it was not too late to feel like myself again. When I discovered ways to move forward and enjoy my pregnancy again. One of the things that helped and continues to help me cope with depression is continuing my love for hiking and exploring the outdoors…even today, with a baby.

Adventures of Ten Ten is inspired by all of those who encouraged me through the highs and lows of my pregnancy and into motherhood.

I dedicate this blog to them.

I hope to inspire you and your family to create your own adventures together and start exploring. I will be the first to admit that it is very easy to feel confined in your home when you have a baby, and the thought of packing your diaper bag and not knowing how your baby will react in social and outdoor settings sounds daunting.

Trust me, I have been there several times.

With Adventures of Ten Ten, I am here to help support you and your family through some tips, recommendations, and preparation. Don’t worry, we are all in this together! Now, let’s go out and smell the fresh air! Not only will you appreciate it, but so will your little one. As I share Adventures of Ten Ten, I can’t wait to hear your very own adventures!
