In honor of National Donut Day, I wanted to throwback to our daughter’s 1st birthday!
We honestly decided to do a donut theme, because we fell in love with this “Donut Grow Up” sign that we found on Amazon. (ps: it’s only $10!)
We wanted to create a cute backdrop for photos. So we made this easy DIY Sprinkle Wall!
There were a lot of different bags of balloons and tape involved, but I am happy to show you what worked for us 🙂
Have fun recreating this sprinkle wall!

▷ Balloons
▷ Hand Pump
▷ Donut Banner
▷ Highchair Tutu
▷ Gaff Tape

Pull and stretch out the balloon.
This will help the elasticity of the balloon and allow you to fill it with more air and it will be easier to tie a knot.
Now, measure from the air opening side to 2 – 2.5 inches, then mark it with a sharpie.
Once it is marked, tie a tight knot.

Take your hand pump and fill in the 2 – 2.5 inches side of the balloon. Then tie the end of the balloon.

Time to cut the other side of the balloon that we don’t need.
(Make sure to cut it on the right of the knot, as shown above)

Add scotch tape on both sides of the “sprinkle” balloon.
Then fold it over to hide the flaps.

Turn over to the side where you can visually see more of the scotch tape (this will be the back of your sprinkle) and add gaff tape.
The reason why I use gaff tape is because it was the only tape that did not remove paint off my wall AND the sprinkles stayed put for weeks!
I used gaff tape when I worked in television production, and it’s the best! Every entertainment studio uses it.

Now you are ready to hang your sprinkles + banner!
We also found the high chair tutu on Amazon!
How easy is that, right?!

Aw omg she is too cute
OMG what a great idea! Super creative.
Adorable!!!
Do you think an electric pump or small pumps from an air compressor would be too intense to fill the balloons up with ?
Hi Danielle! Thank you so much 🙂 It might be too intense, but I think it is worth the shot if you already have those items! It would be a such a time saver if it works. Let me know!
