It has been over 26 months
since we have had a
couples getaway, just us.
You must be thinking,
“Wow…you are crazy exact!”
Well, that is because our
daughter is 26 months. LOL.
True life of parents right?!
Before we had our daughter, Tenley,
Brett + I used to go on
mini roadtrips all the time.
Road trips were our “date nights.”
We used to love driving along the
California coast. There is something so
beautiful about California. You can
drive an hour away and feel like you
are in a totally different place.
I always feel like there is something new to discover here.
So, naturally we decided we
needed these road trip dates again!
quick “pit stop” before North Park!
As we traveled from Malibu to San Diego,
We made our first stop in San Diego
county in the beautiful city of Encinitas.

B E A C H S T O P :
Time to walk-off our food and
enjoy the beautiful view of the ocean!
If we had more time, we would have loved to walk
on the beach, but instead, they have a mini park area
at the top of Moonlight Beach!
It’s a romantic spot, without getting sand in between your toes.
on the road
Drive down a little bit south, and we are here!
Not only is North Park great with food, local shops, bars, etc…
IT IS THE ULTIMATE
aka. there are so many awesome “Instagram spots” to take photos at.
Enjoy the local flair, beautiful street art, and all of North Park!
seriously, all you have to do is
and you will see the fun
and beauty of North Park!

Their menu is MASSIVE.
They also close at 4am.
We love yummy options
and are total night owls.
our order: California burrito
(we wished we didn’t share this, because it was so good!)
I can just taste the yummy guac in it now.
Also, the burrito is HUGE!
These are not your ordinary tacos.
We love their unique flair on tacos.
my order: mexicali and chile rellano tacos
brett’s order: chile rellano and pescadot tacos
Mexicali Taco was SO good,
the poblano peppers in it
were just the perfect touch.
Pescado Taco was so unique
and SO GOOD. I mean it had
drizzled with chipotle aioli.
City Tacos are only $3.50 each!

They welcome kids to do some
fun after school arts and crafts

E V E R Y W H E R E, please!!!
This shop is a dream.
Every city needs a store
It holds a beautiful selection
from local artists, such as
jewelry, clothing, home decor,
and so much more.
What I loved most was their
succulent wall and selection of pots.
You can even pot your plants here!
& that is a wrap
for North Park!
another great neighborhood
in sunny San Diego.
(that we will definitely visit again!)
Have you been to North Park?!
Tell me your experience and
what we should maybe see next time.
I would LOVE to know!
