Grandma’s Best Italian Meatballs!
After giving birth to my second child, my dear friend brought me her grandma in-law's most cherished recipe. It is delicious! It is also so incredibly easy to make and you can freeze it to use for future meals!
FOR THE MEATBALLS
- 1 1/2 lb Ground Beef or Turkey
- 1/2 lb Ground Pork
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Oregano
- 2 tsp Parsley
- 2 tsp Lemon Juice
FOR THE SAUCE
- 28 oz Can of Crushed Tomatoes in Puree
- 18 oz Tomato Paste
- 3 cans of Water (use the Tomato Paste can to measure)
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Oregano
- 2 tsp Parsley
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
FOR THE SAUCE

Mix all the ingredients in a large pot or stock pot.

Set aside, and make the meatballs.
FOR THE MEATBALLS

Mix all the ingredients together and form into balls.

Drop the meatballs into the sauce to cook.

Cover and cook for 1.5 hours with the meatballs inside the stock pot.

Start with medium to high heat. Once it boils, turn low to simmer.

Shake the pot every 1/2 hour to stir and cook the meatballs evenly.
