Honestly, my husband and I wish we meal prepped more often, because there are so many benefits to meal prepping!
We have found the tools to get back into the meal prep rhythm and make it more of a weekly habit. I’m so happy to share it with you!

Do you ever feel like meal prepping can be overwhelming? I always felt that way! I wanted to learn how to like it because of all its benefits.
My husband and I have meal prepped here and there, but it has not been consistent. Why, you may ask?
We have realized that there are 3 things that you need to make meal prepping easier and less of a hassle.
AKA. it can be fun to meal prep!
Meal Prep Must Haves!
– Well-Balanced Recipes
Try to find recipes that have a carb, protein and veggies/fruits. For the one we made, the Honey Sriracha Meatballs, you can certainly shred some carrots or grab a fruit or veggie when you are ready to eat your meal prep!
– Recipe that fits your liking and schedule
I know this seems obvious, but find recipes that you would like! I know many of us strive to be healthy, but if you do not have a taste palette for certain foods, no worries…skip the recipe and choose another!
Time is very important! We used to take hours… almost half a day to meal prep and that was just too much. So now, we aim to make meal prep recipes that average about 30 minutes to cook!
– Use Good Containers!
This is surprisingly very important!
We LOVE using our Rubbermaid Brilliance Glass food storage containers from Target!
We use them all the time. We have been switching over to more glass containers.

-In the oven! (make sure to place the container without the lid)
-In the microwave! (with the lid but pop up the vented latches)

Honey Sriracha Meatballs Recipe
We love love loveeee this recipe from Eat Yourself Skinny!
The only modification we did was cutting the sriracha in half. This all totally depends on you and your spice level.
This recipe only takes 30 minutes to make! It’s always in our meal prep rotation.
