Cupcake Number Matching Game!
•Valentine’s Day Learning Activity•

Oh, Valentine’s Day!
The holiday full of love, hearts, red and pink, and…oh the sweets.

So many Valentine’s Day sweets!

Don’t get me wrong, Valentine’s Day sweets are delicious! But when you are a mom and your kids are devouring all the holiday sweets…it’s not so fun anymore as a parent, while your kids are running in circles and jumping between couches.

Need to take a break from the sugar high?!

Here is a fun and educational Valentine’s Day Cupcake Number Matching Game where your kids can play and learn their numbers!

(…and not be so hyper from all the candy) LOL

▷ CARDSTOCK PAPER* (link to buy)

Optional:
Straight Paper Trimmer (link)

*You can certainly print this on regular printer paper, but I highly recommend using cardstock paper, because it is sturdier for kids to play and reuse! I also use this paper all the time for 90% of my printables!

The easiest way to cut these printables is using a Straight Paper Trimmer. It saves so much time AND it cuts perfectly straight!

I recommend cutting vertically first and having single individual cupcakes ready. Then I cut each single cupcake horizontally in the middle, between the cupcake’s top and bottom.

NOTE: I left two of the cupcakes “empty” so you and your little one(s) can fill in whatever number you’d like and draw the # of hearts accordingly 🙂

[This is optional] Before my daughter starts playing, I have her organize and set-up her “playing area.”

I have her set aside the bottom parts of the cupcakes on one side and the top parts of the cupcakes on the opposite side. This helps her learn how to categorize and organize! Which are great skills for problem solving, etc.

Have fun! It is a great activity to play together and then have your kids do it on their own and have them show off their skills.

After we play with these, we place them in a ziplock bag to reuse and replay. Enjoy!
