My husband and I love coffee!! Can anyone relate? I planned a surprise morning coffee date on the beach and customized our very own groovy retro coffee mugs and cups using my Cricut Joy and Cricut Mug Press.
It was so much fun and so easy!! I want to make more mugs now with my Cricut Mug Press.
Hot Coffee or Iced Coffee?
I am personally a fan of iced coffee and my husband prefers hot. Whichever one you choose, you can make either with Cricut machines!
Do you like hot coffee?
If yes, I made my coffee mug using the following:
– Cricut Joy
– Cricut Joy Standard Grip Mat
– Basic Tool Set
– Cricut Mug Press
– Infusible Ink Transfer Sheets
– Cricut Mug Blanks
– Heat Resistant Tape
– Cricut EasyPress Mat
(optional – used for hot mug to cool down)
Do you like iced coffee?
If yes, I made my coffee cup using the following:
– Cricut Joy
– Holographic Vinyl
– Cricut Joy Transfer Sheet
– Basic Tool Set
Do I really need a Cricut Mug Press?
This was my first time using a Cricut Mug Press. I have had my Cricut Joy for a few months, and absolutely love it! It is small enough to fit on any desk and does so much.
I use the Cricut Joy many times for various projects. But…what about the Cricut Mug Press?
Is it worth it?
In my honest opinion, yes! The thing that sold me about the Cricut Mug Press is that when you use it with their infusible transfer paper, your final product can be safely washed in the dishwasher.
This is a life saver, especially, if you are a mom like me!
The clear iced coffee cup I made with my Cricut Joy using permanent vinyl is not dishwasher safe. It is a hand wash only cup, because of the vinyl.
Another thing to note about the Cricut Mug Press is that it has enhanced technology to read and decide what is the appropriate heat setting and timer for your mugs.
Many other mug presses from other brands will have you manually select the setting for each mug you put in the machine.

Which one would you make with the Cricut?
The mug or clear glass cup?
